today, was so dreamlike and beautiful, I was reminded why I love spring; Fresh air, flowers and the sun painting everything in a deliciously warm golden glow.

I love the feeling of knowing that the days of leaving the house wearing thermal underwear, and a gazilion other items of thick knitwear, are drawing to a close. If the sun would like to pop over to england at any point that would be good too...
The first song in my mix is Daylight by Matt & Kim.. everything about this song makes me want to dance around, with a big cheshire smile plastered all over my face.
I mean, how can you not be in love with people like this!
I am in love with Manish Arora's Spring/Summer '11 collection, there is something so hypnotising about the bright colours and snake like patterns... and I have to be getting myself some of those latex leggings! I am like a magpie to all things golden and sparkly, so it's no surprise that I was introduced to this designer through a advertising campaign for a gold sparkly top, which is literally the most beautiful thing in existence but alas cannot be found anywhere (believe me I have looked!) on the www! So in the style of the recent oscars, I would like to thank NYLON for thrusting me towards this amazing designer and his Beautifully intricate designs...
I have always had a thing for hypnotism, and whether it can actually be achieved. It does scare me though, if it can be successfully performed, how vulnerable we are to hypnotists! They could achieve anything... and this world would turn all bernard's watch - (an incredibly british children's program on about 7 years ago, where a boy had a magic watch which could freeze time). At my school we used to have a stand-in teacher who was supposedly a hypnotist, which always put me slightly on edge...
any who, I leave you with this slightly provocative choon, which you are vary much entitled to enjoy 5 minutes and 33 seconds of pure techno excitement, (you are allowed to do a bit of crazy dancing to this one) permitted the sub-woofer is turned up loooouuud!
In an attempt to become S and B, two gorgeous fictional 'it girls', S and I attempted the baking of some very 'upper east side' macaroons.....
To put it simply, after about 2 hours having completed these almondy pebbles of loveliness, I have eaten about tray full (12ish) and am feeling far less gossip girl but more, too-full-to-move girl.... ah well you only live once....
So why spend it hungry ?

Today I embarked on a cake making journey, the out come of which has most certainly added a few pounds to my hips. Alas that is the devilish beauty of a cake, one that I am more that happy to go along with. This is what it was supposed to look like... but ended up looking slightly more like a heart attack waiting to happen.
I changed the chocolate in the icing for white chocolate, and it has worked just as well. I can assure you, it's delicious. Nigella never lies...
